Atlanta Gentle Dental is looking for a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant with a specialization in Orthodontics (EFODA - Expanded Functions Orthodontic Dental Assistant) to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of orthodontic dental care with a commitment to making patient comfort and quality of treatment priority. This role requires a proactive individual who can efficiently prepare and maintain dental equipment and assist during procedures while ensuring the utmost in sterilization and infection control standards. Prepare and maintain orthodontic equipment and materials, Assist orthodontists during various dental procedures, Ensure all tools and work areas adhere to sterilization and infection control standards, Provide patient education and post-operative care instructions, Manage patient records and documentation with strict confidentiality, Assist with patient scheduling and billing as needed Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Efficient in orthodontic appliance and tool handling, Competence in digital record keeping and scheduling software, Understanding of cross-contamination and sterilization protocols Life Insurance 401k Certified Dental Assistant (CDA), Expanded Functions Orthodontic Dental Assistant (EFODA) certification
