In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment. Your energy and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional dental services, from general dentistry to specialized fields like prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, supportive setting dedicated to improving oral health. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols using aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during various procedures, including endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing necessary tools and materials promptly. Take and develop dental X-rays while ensuring patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and records management. Manage patient vital signs and medical history documentation accurately within EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Support administrative tasks by greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized medical records. Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners and medical imaging equipment to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Ensure adherence to infection control standards, maintaining a clean and safe clinical environment at all times. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure. Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry setting. Proficiency with Eaglesoft Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices. Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and X-ray procedures. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, demonstrating compassion and professionalism.
