Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to assist with various dental procedures in both general dentistry and pediatrics. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays, applying fluoride treatments, and assisting with fillings. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with established protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Implement infection control measures following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe environment. Utilize dental software systems, including Epic, for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with medical coding, dental terminology, and general dentistry practices is advantageous. Experience in pediatrics is a plus, as we cater to patients of all ages. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with infection control standards. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
