Job Description

Surgery Dental Assistant | Confidential — Columbia River Gorge Area, OR | 20-35 hours/week A growing implant dentistry practice in the Columbia River Gorge region is redefining the dental experience — blending advanced implant care and sedation dentistry with a calm, rejuvenating environment. Led by an experienced Implantologist and sedation provider, our team delivers exceptional results through compassion, precision, and artistry. We're expanding and looking for a Surgery Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. This role begins part-time with the option to evolve into a full-time position as our implant and esthetic patient base grows. About the Role You'll be an integral part of our surgical and sedation care team, assisting in procedures, maintaining compliance standards, and ensuring every patient feels safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout their visit. •Bonus points if you are also comfortable on the phone and would enjoy being cross trained with the front desk. Key Responsibilities Chairside assist for implant surgeries, extractions, and sedation cases Prepare, maintain, and turn over surgical suite following sterile techniques Assist with sedation setup, patient monitoring, and recovery under dentist supervision Perform and document spore testing, sterilization logs, and infection control compliance Manage implant and surgical inventory, ordering supplies proactively Take high-quality radiographs, digital scans, and clinical photos Provide detailed post-operative instructions and patient reassurance Support the team with treatment coordination and smooth clinical flow Collaborate with leadership to enhance protocols as the practice continues to grow Qualifications 2+ years of dental assisting experience, surgical or sedation preferred EFDA and Radiology endorsements required Familiarity with implant systems, sterile fields, and sedation protocols preferred CPR/BLS certified Organized, proactive, and calm in a surgical environment A caring, professional demeanor and dedication to patient comfort Why Join Us Opportunity to grow with a modern, patient-centered dental practice Mentorship from a skilled Implantologist and sedation provider Supportive, professional team that values balance, growth, and precision Competitive pay based on experience Serene, spa-inspired clinical environment designed for both patient and team well-being Confidential search — practice details shared upon application or candidate interest.
