Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical documentation is essential. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth within general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics specialties. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are followed Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort Record vital signs and medical history information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Manage dental records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency Educate patients on dental procedures, post-operative care, and oral hygiene instructions Operate 3D scanners and other advanced dental technology as needed Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to OSHA standards Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when required Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with medical coding and medical records management is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and infection control practices in a dental environment Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety protocols Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred; familiarity with pediatrics-specific procedures is advantageous Competence in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique Ability to operate advanced dental equipment such as 3D scanners and digital imaging devices Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and work collaboratively within a team This position provides an engaging work environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care while supporting professional development within the diverse fields of dentistry.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
