Job Description
Job Overview The role of the Oral Surgery Assistant at Revolution Dental Implant Center is one of the most important roles in this practice. This Assistant is integral to the practice and pivotal in delivering the exceptional patient experience that we strive to provide every day. You will have the most time with our patients and thus will develop lasting bonds and relationships as you transform their lives through the dental services and procedures that we offer. Patient care is your primary priority and must be unsurpassed at all times. This position consists of assisting in Restorative Treatment in addition to assisting in Surgery. Duties
- Prepare patient operatory for consultations, surgery and delivery of appliances as necessary.
- Procure and prepare necessary instrumentation for surgery
- Maintain HIPPA and patient confidentiality at all times
- Perform dental X-rays and CT
- Assist with 4-Handed and 6-Handed Dentistry
- Remove and attach patient dental prosthetics
- Administering topical anesthetic
- Providing clinical answers & information to front office teammates for patient call-in questions
- Learn dental processes, procedures, terminology and techniques including but not limited to, fixed dental implants, restorative treatment and dental prosthetics
- Entering detailed patient chart notes into practice management software
- Opening duties
- Closing duties
- Surgery assisting

- Proficiency in Practice Management software: Open Dental
- Meets key performance indicators
- CE in dental clinical aspects Skills
- Is expert in x-ray, CBCT/Pano and patient charting
- Assist with 4-Handed and 6-Handed Dentistry
- Familiarity with Open Dental software for managing patient records and scheduling.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation.
- Ability to work as part of a team effectively while promoting a collaborative work environment.
Skills, Qualifications and Competencies:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Oregon Driver License and insurance
- Current, valid radiology certificate
- Certified in the state of Oregon
- Basic CPR Certification
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Engaging and friendly; excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and maintain a pleasant demeanor
- Desire to learn dental healthcare, oral health, dental implants, dental prosthetics, dental terminology, dental instruments, restorative procedures and processes.
- Adept at problem solving and troubleshooting
- Passionate about patient care
- Has dependable job attendance and can be relied on to follow through with assigned tasks.
