Responsibilities As an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting clinical excellence and delivering a positive patient experience. Clinical Support Assist dentists during restorative and preventive procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Perform expanded functions permitted under Oregon regulations, including placement of matrix bands, temporary restorations, and other

duties Take high-quality dental radiographs and diagnostic images Prepare treatment rooms and ensure instruments and materials are ready for procedures Patient Care Help children feel comfortable and supported during their appointments Communicate treatment information and post-operative instructions to parents and caregivers Provide oral hygiene education in an age-appropriate and encouraging manner Infection Control & Compliance Maintain OSHA, CDC, and ADA compliance standards Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms according to office protocols Ensure accurate documentation within patient records and practice management software Qualifications Required Active Oregon EFDA or EFPDA Certification Active Oregon Radiology Health & Safety (RHS) Certification Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience Current BLS/CPR Certification Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Pediatric dental experience Experience with Open Dental software Familiarity with digital imaging and modern dental technology Why Join Our Team?
