Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant and become a vital part of transforming smiles!
Schedule:
Wednesday -
Thursday:
8:30am-4pm Responsibilities Assist orthodontists during patient examinations, procedures, and adjustments with efficiency and care Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly Take and develop dental X-rays, including panoramic and 3D scans, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards Provide chairside assistance during procedures involving braces, aligners, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances Educate patients on oral hygiene practices specific to orthodontic treatment and post-procedure care Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and maintaining organized medical documentation Requirements Prior experience working in dental clinics with a focus on orthodontics or pediatric dentistry is highly preferred Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including aseptic technique, infection control, and anatomy knowledge Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of dental terminology related to general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and orthodontics Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to creating beautiful smiles!
