Qualifications:
- Expanded Function Dental Assistant Certification (PA required)
- X-ray certified (or certification obtained within 3 months of hire)
- CPR certified
- Open Dental experience is a plus (training provided if needed)
- Willingness to assist with various areas of the practice and embrace learning opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform expanded dental duties, including placing restorations and sealants under the supervision of the dentist as well as coronal polishing
- Provide chairside assistance for all pediatric dental procedures
- Take, develop, and review dental x-rays as needed
- Educate patients and families on oral hygiene, treatment plans, and post-operative instructions
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and maintain proper infection control protocols
- Assist with administrative duties, including appointment scheduling and patient record management, as needed
