Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients seeking exceptional oral healthcare. In this vital role, you will support dentists during a variety of procedures, ensure patient comfort, and maintain the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with aseptic techniques. Assist dentists chairside during procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing necessary instruments and materials promptly. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology like 3D scanners, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive medical documentation and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, maintaining accuracy in medical coding and documentation. Provide excellent dental reception services by scheduling appointments, confirming patient visits, and managing patient inquiries with professionalism. Support infection control protocols by adhering to strict sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean clinical environment aligned with OSHA standards. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental care. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic is a plus. Ability to perform chairside assisting including four-handed dentistry techniques and dental assisting best practices. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety. Certification or experience in radiography for X-ray procedures; ability to operate 3D scanners preferred. Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles for working effectively with children.
