Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentist during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics with precision and professionalism. Take digital dental X-rays Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality. Perform chairside assisting at the direction of the dentist. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques combined with a strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic te Knowledge of general dentistry procedures along with specialized fields like prosthodontics and endodontics. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards for both patients and staff. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all age and team members across clinical and administrative roles. Capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Understanding of HIPAA regulations combined with experience in medical records management and medical coding practices related to dental care.
