Our team is focused on delivering excellent patient care and we are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join us.
Job Summary:
The Dental Assistant will support the dentist in all aspects of patient care, including preparing patients for treatments, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow in the dental office.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Preparation:
Prepare patients for dental procedures by making them comfortable and providing necessary information.
Assistance During Procedures:
Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including handing instruments, taking impressions, and using suction devices.
Radiography:
Take electronic dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Infection Control:
Maintain a sterile and organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
Patient Records:
Accurately record patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes in the dental software system.
Instrument Sterilization:
Clean, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and equipment.
Patient Education:
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment care.
Office Support:
Assist with front office tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Qualifications:
Certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program. Valid state licensure and certifications as required. Strong clinical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in dental software, including Dentrix Ascend, and digital radiography. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Commitment to patient care and safety.
