Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a smooth clinical workflow. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, prosthodontic, and cosmetic treatments with precision and care Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards and maintaining patient comfort Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation of medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding Support patient communication by explaining procedures, scheduling appointments, and assisting with insurance or billing inquiries as a dental receptionist when needed Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Conduct vital signs assessments and monitor medical imaging procedures to support overall patient health evaluations Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry setting with familiarity in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique to ensure efficient workflow and infection control Ability to operate X-ray machines safely while demonstrating knowledge of radiation safety protocols Knowledge of infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and OSHA regulations applicable to dental clinics Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical documentation practices, and basic medical coding processes Experience with advanced dental technology such as 3D scanners or digital imaging equipment is a plus Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics, ensuring they feel comfortable throughout their visit Join us today to make a positive impact on patients' smiles while advancing your career in a vibrant healthcare environment!

$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
