Job Description
About us : We're a specialty dental office in Pittsburgh exclusively serving children and special needs patients. Located in our state of the art pedo-ortho office across from the Target in Robinson Township, we collaborate with an orthodontist on site to provide continuity of care for our patients who need orthodontia. We're a fully digitized office with the latest technology. In addition to our digital panoramic x-ray and hand-held intraoral x-rays and digital sensors, we are the region's leading expert in pediatric laser dentistry. With our three Solea® all-tissue lasers, we provide needle-free, anesthesia-free hard-tissue restoration and soft-tissue procedures such as frenotomies. Summary of Position:
We seek a compassionate and caring Dental Assistant of character to join our high-performing pediatric dentistry team! We are a growth-oriented entrepreneurial business. Responsibilities, General Demonstrate and influence a culture of good team work to deliver an extra ordinary experience for every patient Provide exceptional customer service Participate in daily huddles with other team members to ensure every day flows smoothly Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance Follow safety policies and procedures through OSHA compliance and federal regulations Responsibilities, Clinical Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Prepare patients for their appointments and ensure their comfort Sterilize instruments according to protocol Undertake lab tasks as needed Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Maintain accurate records Draft clinicians' notes Manage clinical workflow so staff remains on schedule Ensure dental equipment remains serviceable and in good working order Maintain proper inventory levels Assist clinicians through 4-handed dentistry Skills Possess a teachable spirit•we all work towards the same goal and we help each other by exercising humility and grace towards our teammates Problem solver•through living a life of continuous improvement and deliberate problem solving, help each other improve our collective performance Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, primary computer systems (EagleSoft, MS Office, Weave, Gmail, OperaDDS) Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliableBenefits:
