Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist with various dental procedures, maintain patient records, and ensure a smooth workflow within the clinic. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs of patients when necessary. Support the practice in various administrative tasks, including medical coding and using Denticon software. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques, including knowledge of prosthodontics, general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and medical records management. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members. Experience with medical coding is a plus but not required. Knowledge of Denticon or similar dental practice management software is advantageous.
