• Full-time Busy dental office in downtown Wilkes-Barre is seeking a motivated and experienced Dental Assistant or EFDA to join our team.

We are looking for someone professional, dependable, and patient-focused who works well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting the dentist during dental procedures
• Preparing and sterilizing dental instruments and equipment
• Providing chairside assistance during procedures
• Taking dental x-rays
• Performing patient assessments and recording medical history
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Following HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
• Providing patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
• X-Ray certification
• Proficiency in medical terminology
• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and equipment
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Dentrix, OneView)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients and dental team members
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Knowledge of infection control protocols and sterilization techniques
• Must possess current required clearances, including: FBI Fingerprinting Child Abuse Clearance Background Check Position Details 3-day work week:

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Hours:

8:00 AM

• 8:00 PM PTO available Wages and benefits are negotiable based on experience and qualifications
