Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become an essential part of delivering exceptional patient care! In this role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Your energetic and positive attitude will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings. You'll utilize your technical skills to operate dental equipment, manage medical documentation, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and aseptic technique. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures Assist dentists during various treatments, including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging to support accurate diagnoses Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient privacy Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Monitor vital signs and assist with medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions Skills Proficiency with dental software systems including Softdent, Dentrix, Epic, or similar EMR platforms Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and 3D scanners used in modern dental practices Ability to perform dental assisting tasks such as taking vital signs, medical coding, and managing medical records accurately Familiarity with pediatric dentistry principles and working effectively with children in a clinical setting Excellent communication skills to collaborate with dental teams including receptionists and other healthcare professionals Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their skills in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments.
