Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Take X-rays as needed, ensuring accuracy and quality. Maintain patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Perform basic administrative tasks such as answering phones and managing correspondence. Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding practices. Skills Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix (preferred) for patient management. Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Experience in a dental receptionist role is a plus. Ability to perform X-ray imaging safely and effectively. Familiarity with dental terminology. Commitment to infection control standards to maintain a safe environment for patients. Experience is a plus, but will train the right candidate. Paid Holidays after 3months. PTO after 1 year. Scrub Allowance after 3months.
Salary-depending on experience Start date:
