In this vital role, you will support dentists during patient procedures, manage clinical operations, and ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will contribute to delivering exceptional care in a welcoming environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and more. Responsibilities Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, and root canals Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control standards Take xrays Manage patient records accurately using Open Dental software Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and managing medical documentation and records Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures across specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics to assist effectively Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental assisting procedures Familiarity with Open dental Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various dental specialties including pediatric dentistry and general dentistry Excellent communication skills to interact with patients of all ages Certification in dental assisting or relevant training; additional certifications in medical coding or pediatrics are a plus Join our team to make a positive impact on patients' oral health while advancing your career in a vibrant and supportive environment.
