Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, with precision and professionalism. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly, adhering to strict infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation. Support the dental reception process by scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and managing medical records efficiently. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow and patient comfort. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging procedures when necessary, especially in pediatric or medically complex cases. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for accurate documentation and record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques to ensure safe practice standards. Experience with dental radiography (X-ray), 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools to support diagnosis and treatment planning. Excellent understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children to create positive experiences.
