Certified Dental Assistant (CDA)

Certified Dental Assistant Upstate Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery The primary duty of the Dental/Surgical Assistant is to provide the best comprehensive care to our patients. This is accomplished by maintaining a well-organized operatory, adhering to the schedule, seeing patients in a timely manner, provide answers for their medical concerns, and assist the Doctor and surgical staff to provide the best surgical care.

Job Duties:

Workstation preparation Case presentation and consultations Assist in surgical procedures (implants, wisdom teeth, biopsies, bone grafts, etc.) on sedated patients Post-procedure instructions Instrument Sterilization Impressions, pouring, and trimming models Taking intraoral photo

Radiographs Administer Nitrous-Oxide Skills:

Well-organized and reliable Understand the health and safety regulations Excellent communication and personable skills Good computer skills Knowledge of dental and surgical instruments and sterilization methods

Certifications:

Minimum 2-years experience in a dental and/or oral surgeon office Radiographic Certification (Periapical, Panorex, and Ceplalometric Films) Nitrous-Oxide Administration Certification Certified Dental Assistant Certified Surgical Assistant CPR Certified High School Diploma What we offer: Paid time off 401k Encouraging and positive atmosphere Weekday office hours •Pay is based on experience•
