Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, along with excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients effectively. Hours are Monday-Thursday 8-5. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including but not limited to general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and prosthodontics, endodontics. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with safety and infection control protocols. Take X-rays as needed, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations. Utilize dental software such as dentrix and dexis for patient records management and scheduling appointments. Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging techniques when required. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance patient comfort and safety. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care. Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in using dentrix and dexis dental software Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Ability to take X-rays safely and effectively while following all regulatory guidelines. Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach towards patient care. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
