Job Description

Gentry Orthodontics (Clarksville, TN) is looking for an energized individual to join our dedicated team as a full-time assistant for 2 months - until CMCSS returns for the 2026-2027 school year. This position works all hours of each day providing chairside, clinical orthodontic assisting and will serve our single location. The ideal candidate is consistent, professional, friendly, detail-oriented, responsible and a team player. Experience in a dental setting is preferred, however, we are willing to train the ideal candidate! Comprehensive training will be provided, but with no long-term commitment beyond the start of the school year in a modern, digital orthodontic practice.
Requirements:
A friendly, positive and professional demeanor with patients, parents and office team members Outstanding written & verbal communication skills A thorough knowledge of dentistry and/or willingness to learn Strong computer skills; preferably knowledge of Dolphin software Ability to work Monday - Wednesday, 7:30 am to 5pm and Thursday 6:30am to 3pm Job Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following: Greeting patients and parents with a warm and welcoming smile Instructing patients and parents on good oral hygiene Taking x-rays, facial photos and intra-oral photos Using the iTero scanner Assisting doctor clinically Assisting with special needs patients Checking charts and ensuring procedures are properly entered in patient's chart Having a complete knowledge of tray set up for doctor Collecting and reading health updates Documenting referrals Walking patients and parents to the front desk and explaining the treatment that was provided that day and the treatment that is needed in the future
