Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dental Assistant to join our friendly and professional team. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing top-notch dental care, has a positive attitude, good social skills, and is a team player. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials. Perform medical imaging and ensure proper documentation of patient records. Maintain accurate medical documentation and manage patient files in compliance with regulations. Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure a clean working environment. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the office. Utilize dental software systems such as Open Dental for patient management and record keeping. Support pediatric patients with a friendly demeanor, ensuring their comfort during visits. Stay updated on dental terminology and advancements in dental assisting. Qualifications Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and familiarity with dental terminology. Knowledge of general dentistry practices and procedures. Experience with Open Dental or similar dental management software is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in dental documentation. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including children. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
