The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth operation within the dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols Take and develop X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation in EMR systems such as OpenDental Manage patient appointments and assist with dental receptionist duties Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging as required Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality Support pediatric dentistry by providing compassionate care to young patients Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary Skills Proficient in EMR systems, particularly OpenDental Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedures including prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry Experience with chairside assisting and infection control practices Familiarity with pediatric dentistry concepts and techniques Ability to perform medical documentation, coding, and maintain accurate medical records Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred Join our team as a Dental Assistant where you will be an integral part of delivering exceptional dental care while enhancing your skills in a supportive environment.
