Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will support the delivery of exceptional patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient comfort, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will contribute to a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their treatment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, collaborative setting focused on delivering high-quality dental services. Responsibilities Assist the dentist chairside during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays and other medical imaging, including 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance for confidentiality. Monitor vital signs of patients before procedures and assist with medical documentation and coding as needed for insurance claims. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records efficiently. Perform dental terminology education for patients to enhance understanding of procedures and post-care instructions. Assist with pediatric dentistry-specific needs by creating a friendly environment for young patients and supporting pediatric-specific protocols. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry procedures. Hands-on experience with chairside assisting techniques across various specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics. Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing patient data accurately. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, anatomy, dental terminology, and medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Experience taking X-rays (including digital imaging) and operating 3D scanners is highly desirable. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment supporting four-handed dentistry practices while maintaining attention to detail. Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour
