Job Description
Registered Dental Assistant Needed in Eads, TN Are you the type of person who appreciates stability? We are seeking a special person who is multi-talented and can help our practice and patients. The person who is selected for this opportunity will be able to: Provide excellent customer service to all guests. Keep a smile with all patient and coworker interactions. Maintain a calm and pleasant demeanor at all times. Work well in a fast-paced environment. Have excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail. Support dental care delivery by preparing treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials. Perform procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. Prepare treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Ready patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping them. Provide information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests. Assemble instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area, positioning instruments for dentist's access, suctioning, and passing instruments. Provide materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth. Provide diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies and pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts. Maintain patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning and polishing removable appliances. Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory. Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions. Document dental care services by charting in patient records. Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Ensure proper operation of dental equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques. Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies. Conserve dental resources by using equipment and supplies necessary to accomplish job results. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
The ideal candidate will have:
A State of TN Dental Assistant license • X-Ray Certification (required) Nitrous Oxide Certification (preferred) Knowledge of dental health maintenance Use of dental technology, Dentrix software experience, highly preferred Infection control knowledge Patient services experience Active listening skills Teamwork, teambuilding skills Kind and compassionate bedside manner Health promotion and maintenance knowledge Use of medical technologies The ability to perform diagnostic procedures Be available to work primarily Tuesdays and Wednesdays The Elite Dental Care team is proud to be carrying on the tradition of outstanding dental care in West Tennessee that spans more than 40 years.
