The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires strong organizational skills, knowledge of dental practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols. Possess experience taking digital X-rays, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis. Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records using The Digital Office (TDO), Eaglesoft, or similar systems, and be able to generate treatment reports. Provide patients with post-operative care instructions and answer any questions they may have. Perform dental procedures involved with assisting endodontic treatments and expanded functions to include temporary fillings, and some post endodontic restorations. Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Requirements Must have active EFDA Certification with state of Tennessee Previous experience placing restorations as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; salary (negotiable) is affected by EFDA credentials and past work experience level. Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental software systems is a plus. Knowledge of medical coding, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential. Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding radiographic principles. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure while providing excellent patient care.
