We are seeking a dedicated and Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support in orthodontic procedures. This position requires strong, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with both patients and staff. Duties Assist the orthodontist during various procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort. Bonding, Banding, fabrication of essix retainers, ect. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, including sterilizing instruments and managing supplies. Take and develop dental imaging as needed for patient assessments. Document patient information accurately in dental records, adhering to protocols for dental documentation. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain infection control standards and aseptic techniques in all procedures. Collaborate with the receptionist to schedule appointments and manage patient flow. • Skills Proficiency in assisting with orthodontic procedures. Knowledge of infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A compassionate approach when working with patients.
