The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic. This position requires a strong commitment to patient comfort and safety, as well as proficiency in various dental practices. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Perform tasks related to general dentistry, including taking dental x-rays, applying fluoride treatments, and assisting with endodontic procedures. Maintain accurate medical documentation for each patient visit, including treatment plans and progress notes. Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Take vital signs as needed to monitor patient health before procedures. Engage with pediatric patients effectively, providing comfort and reassurance during their visits. Operate 3D scanners for imaging purposes when required. Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries as needed. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dental clinic environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of general dentistry practices is essential; experience in pediatrics or endodontics is a plus. Familiarity with medical documentation processes and dental software systems such as Epic is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification or training in dental assisting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
