Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Orthodontic Clinic Assistant to join our team. This role supports the orthodontist and clinical staff in delivering high-quality patient care, maintaining a smooth, efficient clinical environment, and fostering a positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and photographs Assist with orthodontic procedures such as bonding brackets, adjusting wires, and removing appliances Provide patient education on oral hygiene, appliance care, and post-treatment instructions Maintain accurate patient records and update charts in the practice management system Manage inventory of clinical supplies and restock treatment areas Ensure clinic cleanliness and adherence to safety standards Support front desk duties as needed, including scheduling and patient communication Qualifications 1Year of Dental Assisting High school diploma or equivalent required Dental assisting certification (required) X-ray certification (required) Knowledge of sterilization and infection control procedures Experience with orthodontic software is a plus Skills & Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail and organization Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with a positive attitude. Working Conditions This is not a "stand around and wait" position. If you like being busy, staying organized, and being part of a team that runs efficiently and takes pride in patient care, you'll do well here. If you need a slower-paced working environment or highly repetitive work, this likely would not be the right fit. Schedule Full-time (Monday 7 am-5 pm, Tuesday 12 pm-5 pm, Wednesday 7 am-5 pm, and Thursday 7 am-5 pm; One Friday a Month from 8 am-12 pm)
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
