The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and compliance with HIPAA regulations. The Dental Assistant will be responsible for ensuring a smooth workflow within the clinic while maintaining a welcoming environment for patients. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical coding and documentation of treatments performed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to ensure efficient operations. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Support the dental team in various tasks related to general dentistry and endodontics. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical imaging techniques is highly desirable. Experience with electronic health record systems such as Epic is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are essential.
