Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient dental practice, providing exceptional care to our patients, particularly in pediatric dentistry. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, aseptic techniques, and the ability to assist with various dental procedures including dental cleanings. Duties Assist the dentist and orthodontist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques. Take dental X-rays and ensure proper imaging protocols are followed. Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information as needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow within the clinic. Ensure the dental clinic is clean, organized, and compliant with health regulations. Support pediatric patients by creating a friendly atmosphere that alleviates anxiety during visits. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience Open to learning orthodontics Experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required. Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of medical imaging techniques is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately in a fast-paced environment. Certification in dental assisting and coronal polishing preferred.
