Job Description

Job Summary Key Dental is a detail-oriented, patient-focused practice that prioritizes excellence and experience over high-volume dentistry . Every team member is expected to operate with precision, professionalism, and accountability. Dental Assistants at Key Dental play a critical role in delivering a consistent, high-quality patient experience. This position requires strict adherence to SOPs, strong clinical skills, and a willingness to be cross-trained in both clinical and patient-acquisition workflows (NPE support).
Our goal is simple:
every patient leaves feeling informed, respected, and confident in their care. Responsibilities Clinical Assisting Assist the dentist during a wide range of procedures, including: Implant placement and restoration Dentures and partial dentures Fillings, crowns, and bridges Root canal therapy (including molars) Surgical procedures (extractions, alveoplasty, biopsies, bone grafting, etc.) Pediatric dentistry Perform efficient four-handed dentistry to optimize clinical flow and patient comfort Prepare patients for treatment by reviewing medical history and taking vital signs Maintain strict aseptic technique and infection control standards at all times Imaging & Records Take diagnostic dental images (X-rays and 3D scans) following safety and compliance protocols Accurately document treatment, notes, and records in Open Dental PMS Ensure complete, compliant medical documentation for clinical, billing, and legal purposes Patient Experience & Team Support Educate patients on procedures, post-op care, and preventive dentistry in clear, professional language Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked operatory Assist with scheduling, patient flow, and front-office support as needed Support marketing and new patient exam (NPE) acquisition efforts when required Qualifications & Skills Proficiency with Open Dental and Kasper (VoIP system) preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical workflows Experience with dental imaging (X-rays and 3D scanners) Thorough understanding of HIPAA, infection control, and aseptic techniques Experience in both general and specialty dentistry environments preferred Excellent communication skills with patients and team members Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to follow established SOPs consistently What We're Looking For This role is best suited for assistants who: Take pride in precision and professionalism Value structure, systems, and accountability Care deeply about patient experience—not just speed Want to grow clinically in a high-standards environment Benefits Competitive pay with growth and advancement opportunities Performance-based bonuses Paid training and structured onboarding Health insurance options Paid time off (PTO) Employee dental benefits Supportive, systems-driven work environment Clear expectations, accountability, and room to grow If you are passionate about dentistry, patient care, and being part of a disciplined, forward-thinking team, Key Dental offers a challenging and rewarding environment to grow.

$14.00 - $20.00 per hour
