Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Licensed dental assistants preferred, but not required to apply. On-the-job training provided. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain dental instruments, ensuring they are sterile and ready for use. Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays and other diagnostic imaging as needed. Utilize dental practice management software such as Open dental for patient records and scheduling. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety. Operate 3D scanners for accurate impressions and treatment planning. Document patient information accurately, including medical history and treatment plans. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Familiarity with general dentistry practices and medical terminology is helpful. Knowledge of infection control standards and procedures is highly desirable.
