This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with orthodontists and patients, ensuring smooth clinical operations and a positive patient experience. Your expertise in dental assisting, combined with a passion for pediatric dentistry and general dentistry, will help us maintain the highest standards of care. Must be RDA Duties Assist orthodontists during patient procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring an aseptic environment following infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays and 3D scans to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records efficiently within EMR systems such as cloud9, ensuring HIPAA compliance for all medical documentation. Monitor vital signs and medical history of pediatric and adult patients to ensure safety during procedures. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology accurately and supporting procedures across orthodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Serve as a dental receptionist when needed by scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing medical records with precision. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Cloud 9 for managing electronic health records. Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Experience with medical imaging techniques including X-ray and 3D scanner technology. Skilled in dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and assist with pediatrics-specific procedures confidently. Familiarity with EMR documentation systems is a plus for comprehensive record management. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist, combined with team-oriented attitude for four-handed dentistry support.
