Job Description

We are looking for an Experienced Dental Assistant to join our patient-centered oral and maxillofacial surgery practice. Our private specialty office is dedicated to delivering high-quality surgical care and an exceptional patient experience. This role is ideal for someone who is motivated, positive, and thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment. The right candidate will play an important role in preparing patients for surgery, supporting the surgeon during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and well cared for before, during, and after treatment. A current Texas Dental Assistant license is required. Experience in oral surgery is preferred. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and surgical instruments for procedures Support the surgeon during oral surgery procedures Monitor patients and assist with surgical workflow Take digital radiographs and assist with CBCT imaging Assist with dental implants, extractions, and IV sedation procedures Provide clear post-operative instructions and patient education Maintain sterilization protocols and infection-control standards Ensure patients feel comfortable and supported throughout their visit Qualifications Current Texas Dental Assistant License Minimum 3 years of dental assisting experience preferred Oral Surgery experience strongly preferred Experience with CBCT imaging and Medit digital scanning is a plus Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both patients and team members Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced surgical setting Positive attitude with a patient-first mindset and a genuine commitment to providing excellent care Team-oriented and easy to work with, contributing to a supportive and collaborative office environment Leadership mindset with experience training or mentoring team members preferred Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Experience with inventory monitoring and supply management preferred Ability to stay organized and focused in a fast-paced surgical setting Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment Team player who is easy to work with and contributes to a positive office culture And lastly, a positive attitude with a patient-first mindset and a genuine commitment to providing excellent care!
Pay:
$35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
