Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth patient flow and delivering high-quality care across a variety of dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will be vital in creating a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for our patients. Responsibilities and Requirements:
Clinical Duties:
Taking digital radiographs (x-rays), perform in-office teeth polishing, sterilizing instruments, setting up trays, and assisting dentists during procedures.
Patient Care:
Welcoming patients, reviewing medical histories, and providing post-operative instructions, frequently in both Spanish and English. Take vital signs, update medical/dental histories, and seat patients for treatment.
Licensure:
A valid Texas-issued Registered Dental Assistant license is required, with certifications in coronal polishing, sealant placement, and nitrous monitoring preferred.
Experience:
1-3 years of dental assisting experience is often preferred.
Chairside Assisting:
Assist dentists during examinations and treatment procedures, including restorative, composite, and amalgam procedures, crowns and deep cleanings.
Infection Control:
Maintain a sterile, safe environment by cleaning instruments and operatories according to OSHA/dental guidelines.
Administrative Duties:
Communicate an open treatment plans description and keep updated electronic patient records. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with familiarity. Dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice Hands-on experience with EMR systems such us Open Dental Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff Strong understanding of medical terminology and medical documentation requirements for comprehensive patient records Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages including pediatrics Join us to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering outstanding dental care! Pay:
$15.00 - $21.00 per hour
