  • Part-time, Full-time Job Summary Join our dynamic Dental team as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, where your energy and organizational skills will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the smooth operation of our dental practice.
In this role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, managing front desk responsibilities while assisting with clinical tasks to ensure exceptional patient care. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to efficient clinic workflows and positive patient experiences. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in medical administration and dental support within a fast-paced, friendly setting. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and assist with patient intake processes using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Epic, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Meditech. Schedule appointments accurately utilizing dental office management software and coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic day. Handle multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent customer service and addressing patient inquiries with clear communication and proper phone etiquette. Verify insurance benefits. Maintain accurate dental records and medical documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management. Assist dental Doctors during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and maintaining sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA standards. Qualifications Previous experience in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred; clinic experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and insurance verification processes. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Meditech, Epic or similar platforms. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software. Exceptional patient service skills with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Demonstrated clerical experience including filing, documentation review, appointment scheduling, and front desk operations. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical billing procedures related to Medicare or other insurance plans. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
