The Dental Assistant will provide chairside assistance to the dentist during dental procedures and ensure the highest level of patient care. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental assisting, knowledge of dental procedures, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments, maintaining suction, and providing patient comfort
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays)
  • Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring impressions and trimming models
  • Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment following infection control guidelines
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems (Eaglesoft, Epic)
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
  • Current certification in CPR
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
  • Proficient in taking digital radiographs (X-rays)
  • Familiarity with dental software systems (Eaglesoft, Epic)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with dental assisting in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral pathology
