In this vital role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging equipment like 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, suctioning, and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and managing medical documentation Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic environment is highly preferred Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and intraoral procedures Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation Competence in taking X-rays and operating medical imaging devices like 3D scanners Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security Background in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus Ability to perform general dentistry procedures along with specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics is advantageous

$18.00 - $23.00 per hour
