The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology and Dentrix, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and infection control. Salary based on experience. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by ensuring they are clean, organized, and equipped with necessary instruments and materials. Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols. Record patient medical history, vital signs, and assist in medical documentation as required. Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging when necessary. Support the dental receptionist with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow in the clinic. Implement aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role within a dental clinic setting. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is essential. Familiarity with Dentrix is preferred. Proficiency in taking medical imaging and X-ray procedures. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining medical records and documentation. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating professionalism at all times.
