Your expertise in chairside assisting, infection control, and patient communication will ensure a smooth clinic flow and outstanding patient experience. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and care Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly Take high-quality X-ray images using digital radiography equipment while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Manage patient records accurately within EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, including updating medical histories and documenting procedures Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient care Ensure infection control protocols are followed diligently using aseptic techniques and knowledge of anatomy to prevent cross-contamination Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing medical documentation efficiently Assist with the operation of advanced technology like 3D scanners for precise diagnostics and treatment planning Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment that complies with OSHA standards and infection control guidelines Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry procedures Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing medical records and documentation Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Skilled in chairside assisting techniques across various specialties including prosthodontics and endodontics Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners with accuracy and safety Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience with medical coding and medical documentation is preferred but not required Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, especially pediatrics Certification in X-ray safety or radiography is highly desirable Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact patients' health and confidence!
