Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient dental procedures across a variety of specialties including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will contribute to delivering top-quality patient care. Duties Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining strict aseptic technique and infection control standards Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Collect vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration to support comprehensive patient assessments Manage electronic health records (EMR systems) Ensure accurate medical coding and documentation for insurance claims and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental procedures, and oral hygiene practices using clear dental terminology Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and managing patient flow efficiently Operate advanced dental technology including 3D scanners for prosthodontics or other specialized imaging equipment as needed Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control protocols and OSHA standards Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or RDA within a busy dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry procedures Hands-on experience with EMR systems Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security at all times Skilled in taking X-rays, medical imaging, and utilizing 3D scanners for diagnostic purposes in prosthodontics or endodontics cases Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and assist with complex procedures involving medical terminology comprehension Competence in handling dental assisting tools, materials, and equipment efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene Since we will be spending our working days together, it's important that we enjoy our time too. Core Competencies:
Minimum of 2-year dental assisting experience Active RDA license CPR Certification Coronal polishing highly preferred Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen Analgesia is a plus!
