  • We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for use.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical documentation and treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, billing, and insurance verification as needed.
  • Skills
  • Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix and Epic is preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical coding and dental terminology is essential.
  • Familiarity with general dentistry practices, pediatrics, and aseptic techniques is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of anatomy related to dental health.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
