Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
TRAVELING
Orthodontic Registered Dental Assistant supports the orthodontist in delivering high-quality patient care during orthodontic procedures and treatments. This role assists with braces, aligners, records collection, sterilization, patient education, and maintaining efficient clinical operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for orthodontic procedures Assist orthodontist during patient exams and treatments Take digital X-rays, photographs, impressions, and intraoral scans Place and remove orthodontic appliances as permitted by state regulations Adjust arch wires, brackets, and bands under supervision Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care Update patient charts and treatment records accurately Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow Monitor inventory and order clinical supplies as needed Ensure patient comfort and provide excellent customer service Qualifications Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license CPR/BLS certification Orthodontic assisting experience preferred Knowledge of dental software and digital imaging systems Understanding of OSHA and infection control procedures Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Skills Experience with Invisalign and digital scanners Bilingual skills preferred Team-oriented attitude Strong attention to detail and professionalism Work Environment Orthodontic or dental office setting Standing for extended periods Frequent interaction with patients and clinical staff
