Job Description

We are looking for a dependable, motivated Dental Assistant to join our well-established private practice. Our office is a single-doctor, fee-for-service practice focused on providing high-quality patient care in a welcoming and professional environment. We value teamwork, reliability, and creating a positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. We are seeking someone who takes pride in patient care, communicates well with both patients and team members, and is looking for a long-term opportunity in a supportive office environment. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and organized according to aseptic techniques. Assist the doctor during a variety of procedures providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and process digital X-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate medical documentation and coding. Chart existing treatment and document clinical notes accurately Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging procedures when necessary for comprehensive patient assessments. Support the doctor and team to help maintain an efficient daily schedule Help create a comfortable and positive experience for patients Requirements Dental assisting experience preferred Current Texas RDA license required Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control protocols Ability to take quality digital x-rays Experience with digital scanners and CEREC same-day restoration technology preferred Experience with Dentrix preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Professional appearance and positive attitude Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential Ability to work well in a small team environment and provide excellent patient care
