In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality dental care to children in a friendly and supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile and organized clinic space. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of dental practices. Responsibilities Make every child smile :) Assist the dentist during various pediatric dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Take and record vital signs of patients as needed. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with team members and patients. Operate Oryx software for patient management and record keeping. Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols. Implement infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe environment. Support the dental clinic by preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments. Act as a dental receptionist when necessary, managing appointments and patient inquiries. Assist the dentist with promotional and marketing events at schools, daycares, etc. Understand and apply medical terminology relevant to pediatric dentistry. Experience Previous experience as a dental assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn. Previous experience assisting with sedation, nitrous oxide and general anesthesia procedures preferred Coronal polishing and sealants certified Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential. Experience with Oryx or similar dental management software is advantageous. Knowledge of infection control standards in a clinical setting is required.
