In this energized role, you will support our orthodontist by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a patient-centered setting dedicated to excellence in orthodontic care. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols using aseptic techniques. Assist orthodontist during procedures such as bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and efficiency. Take digital radiographs (X-rays) and utilize 3D scanners for accurate diagnostics and treatment planning. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on orthodontic care, including appliance maintenance, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment instructions. Skills Experience with chairside assisting in orthodontics is highly desirable, but not required Knowledge of infection control standards, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members such as dental receptionists and other clinical staff. Most importantly- a great positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow is required!
Pay:
$15.00 - $25.00 per hour
