AED Certification Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated, dedicated, and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support the dentist during various dental procedures. Our schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, hours are 9:00am to 5:00 pm Tuesday to Friday, 9:00am-3:00 pm Saturday. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Assist in patient preparation for dental procedures, including seating, draping, and ensuring patient comfort. Take and develop dental X-rays as prescribed by the dentist. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene instructions. Provide chair-side assistance during dental procedures such as fillings, cleanings, crowns, and extractions. Manage patient records, including documenting treatments and updating medical histories.Clinical Support:
Assist with the administration of anesthetics or sedatives under the direction of the dentist. Maintain an organized and efficient dental operatory, ensuring all supplies and equipment are ready for the dentist's use. Handle impressions, molds, and other dental appliances. Clean, disinfect, and maintain dental tools and work areas to adhere to health and safety standards.Administrative Support:
Manage patient appointment scheduling and confirm appointments as necessary. Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries. Process billing, insurance claims, and other office-related paperwork as required. Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring the dental office is adequately stocked.Job Type:
